Terms of business

These terms apply to websites and services provided by Paul Miller trading as Web Design Belfast, 14 Moyne Park, Belfast, BT5 7QT (“we”, “us”).

1. Quotes and prices

Package prices are published on our website packages and eCommerce packages pages. Quotes for other work are valid for 30 days. Prices are in pounds sterling and no VAT is charged, as we are not VAT registered.

2. Deposit and final payment

A 50% deposit is due before production starts. The remaining 50% is due when your website is finished and you’re happy with it, before it goes live.

3. Your content

You supply information about your business and any images you want used, and we write the website text from it. You confirm you have the right to use everything you supply.

4. Timescales

Production takes up to two weeks once the deposit is paid and your business information has been received. Delays in supplying information, images or feedback will move the launch date.

5. Changes

The price covers the pages and features in your package. Extra pages cost £100 each. Any other changes outside your package will be quoted before any work is done.

6. Hosting

All websites we build are hosted on our servers. Hosting costs £25 a month or £250 a year for a standard website, and £250 to £600 a year for an online shop. It includes domain name registration, hosting, monthly backups, security, backend updates, one 2GB email account and an SSL certificate. Hosting renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel with 30 days’ notice before your next renewal date. When hosting ends, and once all invoices are paid, we will transfer your domain name to you and give you a copy of your website on request.

7. Monthly services

Ongoing SEO costs £200 a month. Google Ads management costs £100 a month; your advertising budget is paid directly to Google and is separate from our fee. We can’t guarantee search rankings, AI recommendations or advertising results. Ongoing SEO has a minimum term of 3 months. Google Ads management has no minimum term. After any minimum term, either service can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice.

8. Ownership

Once you have paid in full, you own the design and content of your website. Your domain name is registered in your name. Licences for the WordPress theme and plugins we use stay with us and are covered while your website is hosted with us.

9. Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, business or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
